Back Of House

Honey Never Sleeps

I absolutely loved working with Back of House mag, showing an insight into my work as a beekeeper. The guys were friendly and funny and highlighted our wee business in such an honest and effective way.

Film Making with Gabriel Laurence Media

Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Gabriel Laurence Cowan, a talented filmmaker, photographer, musician, and anthropologist, on his project Apis — a striking short film exploring the deep and evolving relationships between three British beekeepers (myself included) and their bees.

Shot through an expressionist lens, Apis touches on themes of climate change, the June gap, and the pressures of capitalism on modern beekeeping.

I’m delighted to share that Gabriel is now showcasing Apis internationally at film festivals — it’s a beautiful, thought-provoking piece and I’m proud to have been a part of it.

Find out more about Apis.
